Welcome to the newly redesigned Canadian Freight Cars website. Although much of the information has not changed, I have recently taken the time to make it (hopefully) a little more user friendly. One of the greatest limitations of the previous format is that it was rather difficult to print the pages out without losing many of the notes. As a result, I have now placed the listings into tables, which should prove much more display and printer friendly, as they will no longer scroll endlessly to the right — but most pages will benefit from being displayed on a wider or high-resolution monitor as most tables are 1200 pixels wide. I have also spent some time improving the navigation bars at the top and bottom of each page to make it easier to get to any part of the website more quickly than before.

Obviously there will be some glitches to deal with in the next little while — and as a Mac user, I may well discover that some aspects of my pages may not translate well to Internet Explorer and PC users. If you have problems, let me know.

Future plans include the addition of photos, particulary of older and rarer equipment. Rest assured though, that the information that you have been used to getting from this website remains.
